Crystal Environment Foundation

FOUNDATION

The Crystal Environment Foundation is a non-profit, non-political organization registered in Canada.   The aim is to collaborate with Crystal International and PJ Investments (HK) Asia on all conferences and exhibitions planned and use their activities,  especially events  related to the environment, as a platform to raise the issues and campaign for environment protection and conservation.

Goals

Crystal Environment Foundation is set to manage and expand environmental projects and grants in which the main resource and funding  is  through the Environmental Fund formed and set   by Crystal International in collaboration with PJ Investments (HK) Asia.

Its association with Crystal International creates direct links to opportunities and develop programs and  activities that would raise funds for the environment.

Facilitation

For every summits, conferences and exhibitions done and executed by Crystal International, part of its earnings would be directed to the Environmental Fund.  The Board Advisory & Trustees of Crystal Environment Foundation would then assess and analyze which environmental concerns i.e. scholarship grants or activity the Environmental Fund would provide or support.

In addition, the Environmental Foundation would publish environmental books and magazines, which is  dependant on mostly on sponsors and private support to increase its revenue in order to have alternative means of funding such grants, sponsorships and brand merchandising.

The continued economic and technical growth of  Crystal Environment Foundation and Crystal Environment Fund

would be focused more on creating alternative activities and or donations.

Advisory Board & Trustees

The Board Advisory  consist of the Chairwoman of Crystal International; Chief Executive of  PJ Investments (HK) Asia, an Official from the  Government  and   Advisors representing the Private Sector and Educational Institution

History & Projections

The Crystal Environment Foundation was created thru the initiative of Mina Leonora V. Lee, Chairman & President of Crystal International.   In her efforts to create awareness for the environment in Bahrain thru the first ‘Global Environment Conference held in Bahrain,2009, she has formulated the idea to create a body that would look after, support and continue the progress of environmental efforts and plans with focus in Bahrain as the first country.

Lee also announced the formation of Crystal Environment Fund, the financial  arm in which all incomes and revenues would be directed.  Environmental projects, grants, scholarships, research, etc. would have access to the amounts in the Fund as assessed, reviewed and approved.

Finances

The Crystal Environment Foundation relies on sponsorships, donations, percentage of income from exhibitions and conferences executed and done by Crystal International in collaboration with PJ Investments (HK) Asia.  It receives support and income from their events and activities.

On December 7-8th 2009 ,   “The 2nd Global Environment Conference & Exhibition” was  held following the success of the First Global Environment Conference last 20th June 2009.  The Chairwoman of Crystal International decided that 10% of the net income would be directed to the Foundation in order to raise the initial  capital.  Then another 2% would be accounted as first donation to  the Crystal Environment Fund.

Change to fluorescent bulbs
