“The 1st World Environment Summit” - Middle East Dialogue‘Bahrain 2010′ and ‘The Sustainable Planet Film Festival’ are being  held in the Kingdom of  Bahrain and the Middle East for the first time on   8-9th December 2010 at the Ritz Carlton Bahrain, Hotel & SpA.      A  continuation from the     The 1st Global Environment Conference held on 20th June 2009 under the Patronage of  His Highness, Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President, The Commission for the Protection of Marine Resources, Environment & Wildlife ;    and    “The 2nd Global Environment Conference & Exhibition” held on 7th – 8th December 2009  under the Patronage of His Excellency, Dr. Hassan Fakhro, the Minister, Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

Under the Patronage of His Excellency, Dr. Abdul Hussain Mirza,  The Minister,  Ministry of Oil and Gas and Chairman, National Oil and Gas Authority – NOGA, this  Summit is being held in a most exclusive and one  of its kind gathering,  confirming attendance from a large cross section of the European, Far East, Middle East  and the GCC Region.   With international delegation, this Summit would create a unique platform and would enhance face to face with experts and decision makers.  Meanwhile, HRH  Princes’  in Europe and the Region including Environment Ministers and Diplomatic Excellencies  would form part of this prestigious event. With 28  Keynote Speakers forming group of Chief Executives and Chairmen and high profile businessmen, the two day’s event would bring the much needed commitment and accountability of all concerned to  environmental sustainability.   And with the involvement of about 200 delegates, this Environmental Summit would send  strong signal that the future generations are very much in the sustainable agenda.

The principle lies on the belief that the ‘protection and conservation of the environment and its sustainability’  does not follow political nor economic agenda.  Each and every individual, companies, societies , organization, and the government, play serious role and that commitment and accountability must follow compliance.  The objectives well set, the aim is to have this planet safe and secured for the future generations.

Each and every human beings are part of this earth.  Corporations are the major players – they are putting the gears to economic prosperity regardless of their stature.  Government set the laws, rules and regulations.  Societies form the human structure to promote and campaign.

To define each and every responsibilities allow complete and total engagement.  The path to follow and progress  carry with it great challenges and dedication.

Each and every country in the world mastered different approaches and strategies with ultimate aim of measured success.  However, no governments in this planet are able to get the right formula that would result to collective and aggregate solutions, cooperation even collaboration.  There are a lot of re-thinking,  planning   and expert assessments.

“The 1st World Environment Summit” gather the most influential figures  and major players whose positions made them environment experts and decision makers. They have  powers provided to execute  implementations; provide measures;  give  intelligent solutions and promulgate laws.

In this Summit, the determination to engage and exchange expertise, share environmental  success   and failures , show participation and cooperation and find collaborative efforts are factors important and necessary in order to design one form of environmental architecture and structure that would attract the Middle East countries to seek forceful solutions to the deteriorating environmental situations in this region.

The Organisers  are tasks to bring together the greatest minds who are prepare to  discuss,  confront , expand in order to create  ultimate landscape and offer strategic solutions  to the problems and bring difference to the deteriorating conditions of our environment. This Summit offers the right platform to disengage from  political controversies  yet  focus on how environment and economic growth  must form a balance.  That  progress can be achieved without sacrificing the environment  and its  sustainability.  The opportunity to interact and exchange views between business colleagues and associates  bringing collaborative efforts for business expansion and cooperation.

World leaders all over the world understand that the need to pressure each other,  to raise and agree to the issues confronting environment problems be it rising sea levels, oil spill, climate change, floods and deforestation.   The need to use alternatives like solar energy, wind powers etc.

Each government to allocate funding  to secure the environment budget to be spent in the  preservation of  marine resources,  wildlife, protected species,  research and development, education and so on.  Pool together resources and solve the most pressing environment issues.

Meanwhile, to use the media in the  dissemination of right information, news, legislation or laws.  Focus and write on environmental activities and print following the right professional and ethical standards; not camouflaged stories.

The Organisers  and the Summit   Advisory & Executive  Committee believe  that this  gathering  would bring common understanding and engaged solutions ;  participate and cooperate; deepen the initiatives of  all concerned countries and leaders,  draw the right road map and uphold the commitment and accountabilities  for the sake and welfare of the future generation.
